Position Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a stimulating and comprehensive Drama curriculum to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will play a pivotal role in fostering students' self-expression, confidence, and communication skills through the performing arts.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement engaging lesson plans that ignite students' passion for Drama and align with the national curriculum.


• Cultivate a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel empowered to explore their creativity and develop their performance abilities.


• Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to promote individual growth.


• Direct and produce school productions, showcasing students' talents and providing them with valuable performance experiences.


• Collaborate with colleagues within the Arts department and across the wider school community to enrich the overall performing arts program.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Drama, Theatre, or a related field.


• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.


• Proven experience teaching Drama at the secondary level.


• A strong understanding of theatrical techniques, performance practices, and stagecraft.


• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
