The Role

As a Drama Teacher, you will be instrumental in fostering a love for the performing arts and nurturing the dramatic talents of students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will design and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that encourage students to explore their creativity, develop their communication skills, and build their self-confidence.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and implement innovative lesson plans that align with the national curriculum and school's artistic vision.


• Direct and produce school productions and performances, providing students with opportunities to showcase their talents.


• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their artistic development.


• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages collaboration and celebrates individual expression.


• Collaborate with colleagues within the Performing Arts department to enrich the overall program and contribute to extracurricular activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor's degree in Drama, Theatre Studies, or a related field.


• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.


• Demonstrated experience teaching Drama at the secondary level.


• A passion for the performing arts and a commitment to inspiring students.


• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
