About the Role

An Outstanding mixed school in Islington is seeking a creative Drama Teacher to join their performing arts department from September. You'll deliver engaging drama lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5, nurturing students' theatrical talents.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Drama Teacher lessons, focusing on acting, improvisation, and stagecraft.


• Prepare students for performances and examinations.


• Develop students' confidence, communication, and teamwork skills.


• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.


• Contribute to the development of the drama curriculum and resources.


• Direct and produce school plays and other theatrical productions.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Drama.


• Proven experience in teaching drama at secondary level.


• Strong acting, directing, and theatrical experience.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to inspire and motivate students.
