Draughtsperson

White Label is representing an established manufacturer furniture to recruit a Draughtsperson to join their growing design team. This is a great opportunity to work across a diverse range of products within a business that designs both its own product ranges and bespoke solutions for third-party customers.
You will play a key role in taking products from initial drawing through to manufacture, working closely with on-site production, manufacturing, and administrative teams. If you enjoy variety, have a strong eye for detail, and want to be involved in the full product development process, this could be the perfect next step.
Salary & Benefits:
* Salary up to £37,000 depending on experience
* Working hours - 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Thursday, 8:30 am to 3pm Friday
* 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

Duties of the Draughtsperson
* Use SolidWorks to develop products and generate 3D CAD files, technical drawings, assembly visuals, and bills of materials
* See products through from design to manufacture, liaising with production, manufacturing, and administrative teams
* Support prototyping and testing of new products
* Develop a thorough understanding of the company's standard product ranges and manufacturing capabilities
* Answer technical enquiries relating to special or bespoke products and assess project feasibility
* Produce product costings for special enquiries where required
* Attend site visits as appropriate to assess site conditions, liaise with customers, or assist with installation
Experience Required of the Draughtsperson
* Minimum 3 years' professional experience in a design or draughting-based role
* Proficient in SolidWorks (essential)
* Understanding of design for manufacture using woodworking CNC machinery (advantageous)
* Experience designing fabricated sheet metal components (advantageous)
* Experience in furniture or related industries (advantageous but not essential)
