Role Responsibilities – Driller:

• Operate Drill Rigs and equipment to bore holes to precise depths and measurements according to drilling plans
• Conduct pre-start checks and ensure all machinery is operated in line with health and safety regulations
• Change drill bits, hammers, and manage lifting and moving of equipment as required on-site
• Record and monitor drilling data using a drilling log system
• Work as part of a close-knit operations team across multiple quarry sites
• Identify and report any near misses, accidents, or potential hazards to maintain a zero-harm environment
• Maintain a proactive and professional attitude while adapting to different site layouts and conditions

Key Requirements:

• Ideally some prior experience in drilling – downhole drilling preferred, but top hammer experience also acceptable
• We will also consider applications from Driller’s Mates looking to take the next step in their career
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices
• Full UK Driving Licence (essential due to site travel)
• Flexibility to work across different sites and adapt to changing operational demands
• Eager to learn and develop within a technical and highly regulated environment
• Able to work independently and as part of a team in all weather conditions
• Health & Safety-conscious with a positive attitude to compliance and continuous improvement
