Driver/Labourer

We’re excited to share a fantastic opportunity for someone to join our team as a Driver/Labourer working in our Voids Team!

In this role you will work efficiently and safely and strive to minimise waste. Carrying out a range of driving and labouring tasks to support the repairs and maintenance of Flagship Properties. Using various tools and equipment, including a provided Flagship Services vehicle, you will carry out works including:

• Picking and assembling orders ready for delivery


• Safely loading and delivering building materials and plant hire to colleagues across the eastern region


• Collecting and disposing of waste from properties


• Cleaning damp and mould, carrying out void clearances and flood repairs


• Identifying and arranging removal of asbestos when needed


• Supporting basic repairs and maintenance tasks

Location: Ipswich

Working Hours: You’ll be working 40 hours a week, from 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, and 8am to 2:30pm on Fridays.

To be considered for this role, you must have proven experience in labouring and delivery driving, with good knowledge of East Anglia’s geography for effective route planning. You should be confident in ordering and collecting materials or plant hire, and ideally familiar with stock management systems. Strong practical skills, including assisting with cost estimates, are essential, along with good customer service, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. You must be competent in Microsoft applications such as Outlook and Teams, willing to use or learn tablet-based apps, and hold a full, clean UK driving licence. The role also requires flexibility to join the out-of-hours on-call rota, including Public Holidays, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative, customer-focused team.
