Driver/Warehouse Assistant

My client is looking for a reliable Driver/Warehouse Assistant to join a fantastic team based in Welwyn Garden City. This is a great, varied role where you will split your time between warehouse duties and driving a 3.5-tonne van.

The Hours are as follows:

You'll enjoy a brilliant work-life balance with a 36-hour working week:

Monday to Thursday: 07:30 - 15:30

Friday: 07:30 - 12:00 (enjoy your Friday afternoons off!)

What you’ll be doing:

Mondays: You'll be based in the warehouse, picking and loading orders for the van fleet, pallet hauliers, and parcel couriers. You'll also help restock the picking shelves and keep the warehouse tidy.

Tuesday to Thursday (and some Fridays): You'll head out on the road, running a local delivery route predominantly supplying supermarkets. Note: Full on-the-job training will be provided for both the warehouse duties and the delivery routes.

Salary & Benefits:

Salary: £28,000K per year

Holiday: 21 days + Bank Holidays. Please note: you will work Good Friday, but the business shuts down over Christmas, so you’ll use 3 days of your allowance to get a guaranteed, fully paid break over the festive period.

Bonuses: An annual performance-related bonus at the end of June. While not guaranteed, this has paid out at 10% for the last three years. You'll also receive a Christmas bonus (usually between £500 and £1,000 depending on your length of service).

Pay Reviews: Annual pay increases aligned with CPI/RPI every April.

What we need from you:

* Reliable and punctual.

* A full UK driving licence.

* Common sense.

* You will be given a company van to commute to and from work, so you must live locally to the Welwyn/Hertfordshire area and have a safe, suitable place to park a 3.5tn van at or near your home.
