Hathershaw College, part of the Pinnacle Trust, is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Design & Technology Teacher to join their team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher who can inspire students through a broad and engaging Design & Technology curriculum, developing both their practical skills and creativity.

The Role

As a Design & Technology Teacher, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality DT lessons across the secondary age range.

Inspire students to develop their creativity, problem-solving and practical skills.

Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students can thrive.

Monitor and assess student progress, providing effective feedback to support achievement.

Contribute to the wider life of the school and department.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to continually develop teaching and learning.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who:

Holds QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.

Has experience teaching Design & Technology within a secondary school setting.

Has strong subject knowledge and a passion for DT.

Can engage and motivate students of varying abilities.

Has high expectations of behaviour, achievement and personal development.

Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Works effectively as part of a supportive and collaborative team.
