Location: Walsall (WS2 Area) Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum + Annual Bonus Scheme Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent Working pattern: Monday to Friday working pattern with shared on-call responsibilities across the senior management team Will be covering two, two bed EBD homes

Successful Applicant
Previous experience as a Registered Manager within a children's residential setting Must have successfully completed Ofsted registration previously and be capable of passing a Fit Person Interview Minimum Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management or Level 5 Diploma in Children, Young People and Families Management At least 2 years' experience in a supervisory or management position within residential childcare Strong leadership, staff development, and performance management experience Previous experience working with children and young people within residential childcare settings is essential Experience supporting children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) would be highly advantageous Full UK Driving Licence required Confident leading multiple teams and driving service improvement across more than one home
Role & Responsibilities
Take overall responsibility for the leadership, management, and regulatory compliance of two neighbouring 2-bed therapeutic children's homes Ensure both homes operate in line with Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and Ofsted requirements Provide leadership, guidance, and development support to the Deputy Managers within each service, helping them grow in their roles Drive outstanding standards of care, safeguarding, and positive outcomes for children and young people Monitor quality assurance processes, care planning, staffing, and service performance across both homes Lead recruitment, supervision, appraisal, and professional development of residential staff teams Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, external professionals, and other key stakeholders Support both homes in achieving and maintaining strong Ofsted outcomes and continuous improvement Participate in the senior management on-call rota, providing emergency out-of-hours support approximately one week in every five Work Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm, with flexibility to work additional hours where required to meet the needs of the services
