Night Duty Manager – Hotel

Location: Luton
Pay: £16–£17 per hour, depending on experience
Hours: 23:00–07:00
Working pattern: Monday to Sunday, including weekends

Job Description

We are currently recruiting an experienced Night Duty Manager to work at a hotel in Luton. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong hotel background who can confidently manage overnight operations and deliver excellent customer service.

Previous experience using the Opera hotel management system is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the smooth running of hotel operations throughout the night.

Manage guest enquiries, requests and complaints professionally.

*

Assist with guest check-ins, check-outs and reservations.

*

Use the Opera system to manage bookings, room allocations and guest information.

*

Complete night audit procedures and prepare relevant reports.

*

Ensure hotel security and follow all health and safety procedures.

*

Handle unexpected situations and resolve issues efficiently.

*

Liaise with other departments and ensure a thorough handover to the daytime team.

Requirements

*

Previous experience as a Hotel Duty Manager, Night Manager or in a similar supervisory role.

*

Essential: Previous hands-on experience using the Opera hotel management system.

*

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

*

Ability to work independently and make decisions confidently.

*

Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

*

Flexibility to work nights, including weekends.

Working Hours

Shifts run from 23:00 to 07:00, with weekend availability required. Flexibility to work across the week is essential.
