Job Description - Duty Solicitor

Our client is seeking a skilled and dedicated Criminal Lawyer to join our Dudley Office. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified solicitor who can immediately join the Duty Solicitor Rota and has experience in police station representation, court advocacy, and litigation.

The Role:
Full-time, including out-of-hours and weekend work for duty rota and police station representation

As part of our Criminal Defence team, you will:

Handle a varied caseload of criminal defence matters
Represent clients at police stations and magistrates’ courts
Advocate in court cases, including bail applications, case management hearings, and trials
Participate in the Duty Solicitor Rota, including out-of-hours and weekend work
Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients

The Ideal Candidate:
To be successful in this role, you must:

Be a qualified solicitor with Duty Solicitor accreditation
Have experience representing clients at police stations and in court
Be confident in advocacy and litigation
Be able to work independently and as part of a team
Be committed to providing high-quality client care
