The Role:

We are looking for an experienced and qualified Duty Solicitor to join our team in Oldham. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice and representation to clients in police stations, magistrates courts and crown courts.

Responsibilities:

* Provide legal advice and representation to clients in police stations, magistrates courts and crown courts.
* Prepare cases and advise clients on their legal rights and responsibilities.
* Assess cases and advise clients on the likely outcome of their case.
* Represent clients in court and present the case in the best possible light.
* Liaise with the prosecution and other stakeholders in the justice system.
* Prepare legal documents, such as contracts and wills.
* Keep up to date with changes in the law and be aware of legal precedents.
* Keep accurate records and take detailed notes during meetings.
* Maintain professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
* Work within the ethical and professional standards of the legal profession.
