Duty Solicitor

The Role:
The firm is seeking a dedicated Duty Solicitor to join its team. The role will primarily involve working within the Bedfordshire and surrounding magistrates’ courts, with a particular focus on Luton, as well as attending police stations when required. If you are not yet Duty qualified but are interested in pursuing this route, the firm will provide full support to help you achieve it. Likewise, if you are a trainee solicitor or a non-qualified fee earner with relevant expertise and the ability to provide valuable support, we would be keen to hear from you.

Key Requirements:

• CLAS qualification (no minimum PQE required)
• Strong ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure
• Experience in Legal Aid practice and Advocacy
• Knowledge of billing and legal procedures
• Excellent communication skills and ability to complete paperwork accurately and promptly
