A UK charity, based in Burgess Hill, Sussex, is looking for an Executive Assistant to support the CEO and Board of Trustees. This is an established healthcare charity run by a passionate group of individuals, working to improve the lives of others. As the EA, you will be a key part of the CEO's team, demonstrating excellent judgement, diplomacy, and discretion. The role requires someone who is proactive, methodical, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. A permanent role, working 1 day/week in the office and the rest from home.
Your new role
In this role you will provide administrative and secretarial support, ensuring the smooth running of the CEO's office and ensuring smooth workflows. Key duties include:
- Diary management (scheduling appointments and meetings)
- Preparing agendas, briefing materials, presentations and documents for meetings
- Inbox management - drafting communications and responses when required
- Taking accurate and structured minutes and following up on actions
- Stakeholder management, both internal and external
- Act as a key liaison between the Board of Trustees, CEO and Senior Managers
- Provide trustees with timely, well-prepared briefings, sector insights, and organisational updates to support informed decision-making.
- Coordinate trustee onboarding, training, and engagement in key organisational events and activities
What you'll need to succeed
You will have previously worked as a PA or EA supporting at C-Suite/Executive Director level. Industry experience is equally as important, and you will have significant experience in the 3rd sector, charity or not-for-profit. Candidates without this experience will not be considered, so please ensure any relevant experience is highlighted on your CV (including anything relating to governance or the Board of Trustees). Strong organisation, planning and prioritisation skills are a must. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to confidently liaise with senior members of staff effectively. This role is in Burgess Hill - you will be required to work in the office at least once a week.

You'll receive an annual salary of £40-42k with an excellent benefits package. Flexible working arrangements are available, and this role is 35 hours/week. Hybrid working is provided (min 1 day/week in the office) and the office is within walking distance of the station.
