We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to join a well-established industrial manufacturing site on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically and instrumentally skilled engineer looking for a days-based role, with strong earning potential through overtime and a highly competitive benefits package.
The Role
Working as part of the site's Engineering & Maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining, fault-finding and improving a range of electrical, instrumentation and control systems across the site.
You'll be involved in both planned and reactive maintenance, helping to maximise plant reliability, minimise downtime and ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
The role will suit an engineer with a strong industrial background who is confident working independently and enjoys getting involved in fault-finding and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Carrying out planned and reactive electrical and instrumentation maintenance Diagnosing and rectifying electrical and control system faults Working with instrumentation, sensors and associated control equipment Supporting the reliability and availability of production equipment Carrying out inspections, testing and preventative maintenance Working safely and in accordance with site procedures and legislation Supporting contractors and other engineering personnel when required Contributing to continuous improvement and engineering projects Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation
The Package
£41,943 - £44,340 basic salary Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:10 38 hours per week 25 days' annual leave + Bank Holidays Up to 12% employer pension contribution Westfield Health Cashback Plan & Rewards Wellness programmes including free physiotherapy Overtime available: Monday - Saturday: 1.5x Sunday: 2x Generous retention incentive scheme linked to H&S, quality and site tonnage, with potential earnings of up to £900 per month, payable as a lump sum in December 2027 Site closure incentive payments, including contractual notice entitlement plus an additional 8-week tax-free ex-gratia payment
About You
You will ideally have:
Previous experience in an industrial Electrical & Instrumentation environment Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance experience Experience working with industrial instrumentation and control systems A recognised electrical qualification or apprenticeship Good understanding of electrical safety and safe working practices The ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team A proactive approach to maintenance and problem solvingThis is a particularly attractive opportunity for an E&I Technician / Electrical Technician / Instrumentation Technician / Multi-Skilled Engineer looking for a stable Monday-to-Friday days position with excellent overtime and long-term financial incentives.
