Job Description - Early SEND Teacher

Early Years SEND Teacher

An amazing Primary School is in Slough, is seeking a dedicated Early Years SEND Teacher to join their inclusive and supportive team. This role is ideal for a compassionate professional who has experience with interventions, autism, and teaching students with EHCPs. This school has been praised in their recent Ofsted report for our commitment to inclusive education and our supportive learning environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver educational activities that cater specifically to the needs of students with SEND.
  • Implement and adapt educational materials to meet the individual needs of students with EHCPs.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff and specialists to implement effective interventions.
  • Regularly assess and record the progress of students, adapting learning plans as necessary.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that encourages students to thrive.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals to support student development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience in teaching early years students with special educational needs, particularly those with autism and EHCPs.
  • Proven ability to plan and deliver effective interventions.
  • Strong understanding of the strategies needed to manage and support SEND students effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
