Hays Education is working exclusively with a nursery school in Coventry. The nursery is situated in the city centre and easily accessible on public transport. The nursery caters to children from the ages of 6 weeks-pre-school age. The nursery provides children with a stimulating and welcoming learning environment, ensuring children's needs are met on an individual and group basis. This nursery preps early for a successful school life.
Your new role
You will be required to work on a full-time basis. This job is all year round, working between 38-40 hours per week on a shift basis. The nursery is flexible and will accommodate your working hours as best as possible, providing you can work the latter hours.
Your responsibilities will be:

• Plan, prepare and implement the EYFS
• Complete learning journals and observations
• Motivate children and encourage learning through play
• Assess children's learning and development
• Promote the health and safety and safeguarding of children
• Ensure children are well-supported by being friendly, a role model and adapting behaviours to individual children's social and emotional needs

What you'll need to succeed

• Level 3 Early Years qualification (Level 2 will also be accepted)
• Keyworker experience - must have knowledge and experience of completing learning journals and observations
• Knowledge of the EYFS and being confident in delivering this
• RECENT experience working in a nursery or school setting within the Early Years foundation.
