Early Years Educator

Ilchester Community Primary School are looking for an aspiring early years educator to join their team. They are looking for someone who is playful and can give them a home from home whilst preparing for the next stage in their learning. If you are looking to gain valuable experience whilst working towards a qualification, then this is the ideal position. 

Working week 

Monday to Friday 

09:00 - 15:30 

30 hours per week total

Wage

£7.55 per hour

Wage rises to National Minimum Wage after 12 months. 

Qualification

Early Years Educator Level 3 

Duration: 18 Months

Training Provider: LMP Education

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supporting Children’s Learning and Development


• Assist in planning and delivering age-appropriate activities that promote the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development of young children.
  


• Maintaining a Safe and Clean Environment


• Help ensure the setting is clean, secure, and organised, following health and safety guidelines to protect children at all times.
  


• Building Positive Relationships


• Support positive interactions with children, parents, and colleagues to create a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere.
  


• Observing and Recording Progress


• Observe children’s behaviour and development, contributing to records and assessments that track their progress and support individual learning needs.
  


• Supporting Daily Routines


• Assist with routines such as mealtimes, toileting, dressing, and nap times, promoting independence and good hygiene practices.

Skills, Attributes and Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is passionate, driven, friendly and compassionate to join our wonderful team.
Ideally, you will already hold a Level 2 early years qualification however, this is not essential.
You must be kind, caring and have great communication skills. 

Maths and English at GCSE level or Functional skills equivalent is Desirable
