Here at Little tree Day Nursery, we are a small independent nursery setting who pride ourselves on our friendly and welcoming ethos. Due to continued growth we are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our team. As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play an integral role in providing high-quality care and education for children in our nursery and will be tasked with supporting the baby & Toddlers in their day-to-day activities. We require our staff member to help provide a warm and nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. We believe in the importance of play-based learning and providing a safe and supportive space for children to explore and develop their skills.

About the Role

Key details:

• Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, Exact working times to be confirmed


• Wage: £7.55 per hour


• Location: 1a Gornal Scout Hut, Cotwall End Road, Dudley, DY3 3EJ


• Apprenticeship Standard: Level 3 Early Years Educator


• Duration: 18 months 

Overview of the role: 

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual to join our team, with a key focus on planning and delivering engaging activities that support the physical, cognitive, and social development of children. The role involves maintaining a safe, clean, and stimulating environment, while building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. You will also be supported in working towards your  Level 3 Early Years qualification, helping you become a fully qualified and valued member of our team.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote the physical, cognitive, and social development of the children


• Ensure a safe, clean, and stimulating environment at all times


• Help establish and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues


• Be willing to complete a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification to become a qualified and valued member of the team
  
  

Apprenticeship Summary:

• You will work towards your Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification across a total duration of 18 months!


• Training provider: LMP Group: https://lmp-group.co.uk/ 


• All online/remote learning, no classroom or college day release


• An allocated tutor will support you throughout the apprenticeship!

Candidate Requirements

Skills & Personal Qualities Required:

• Provide care for the physical, practical, and educational needs of all children


• Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills


• Build strong, trusting relationships with children, offering close attachment and emotional support


• Monitor children’s progress and maintain written records of their development and achievements


• Safeguard children and promptly report any concerns to supervisors


• Engage children in fun and stimulating activities, supporting their learning through play

Qualifications Required:

• GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 4) - Essential


• GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 4)  - Essential
