Early Years Educator Apprenticeship

Horwich Day Nursery are looking for a dedicated and aspiring early years apprentice. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience within a nursery setting whilst gaining a level 3 qualification. 

Working week 

Monday to Friday 

30 hours per week total

Shift work between the hours of 7am and 6pm

Wages 

National Apprenticeship Wage

Wage rises to National Minimum Wage after 12 months

Qualification 

Early Years Educator

Duration: 18 Months 

Training Provider: LMP Education

Duties and Responsibilities 

• Assist in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children


• Support the lead nursery practitioner in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities Help with the daily care routines, including feeding, changing diapers, and nap times


• Engage in play and educational activities with the children


• Monitor and ensure the safety of the children at all times


• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the nursery area


• Collaborate with other nursery staff to create a positive and inclusive environment

Requirements

• Passion for working with children and a desire to learn and grow in the field of early childhood education


• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written


• Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions from senior staff members


• Basic understanding of child development principles and practices


• High school diploma or equivalent qualification


• Willingness to undergo background checks as required by local regulations
