Early Years Teaching Assistant

Position: EYFS Teaching Assistant

About the Role:
Join a warm and supportive primary school community in an Early Years classroom. You'll work closely with the teacher to deliver engaging, hands-on learning experiences aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities that foster early literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support, including for children with additional needs or special educational needs (SEN)?
• Observe and document children's development, progress, and interests.
• Help manage behaviour positively and consistently to maintain a calm and safe learning environment.
• Support transitions between activities and routines, indoors and outdoors.

Person Specification:

• Hold a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification (e.g., CACHE, NVQ) or equivalent experience working with children.
• Sufficient experience working within EYFS or Reception.
• Strong understanding of child development and the EYFS curriculum.
• Excellent communication skills with children, parents, and staff.
• Calm, patient, and enthusiastic approach, with positive behaviour management techniques.
• Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain) and the legal right to work in the UK.
