Vision for Education are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Early Years Teaching Assistant in the Lake District, Cumbria to support children at the very start of their educational journey. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a welcoming primary school community, providing high-quality support across both Nursery and Reception classes.

The Role

We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant in the Lake District, Cumbria to join a well-resourced and supportive school from December 2025, covering a maternity absence until the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to deliver engaging and age-appropriate learning experiences that help pupils develop confidence, curiosity and independence.

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant in the Lake District, Cumbria, you will play a key role in supporting children’s social, emotional and academic development through structured play, small group activities and 1:1 support where required across Nursery and Reception classes. Experience of working within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is desirable, and a Level 3 Early Years qualification would be highly beneficial, though not essential for the right candidate.
