Early Years Teaching Assistant

We're working closely with a number of welcoming primary schools across BS4 who are looking for caring, reliable and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistants to join their teams from November onwards. As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you'll support children as they take their first steps through education, helping to create a positive, nurturing and engaging learning environment. You'll work alongside experienced teachers, supporting pupils within the classroom, in small groups, and on a one-to-one basis.

No two days are the same. One moment you'll be helping a child sound out their first words, the next you'll be encouraging imaginative play, supporting early maths skills, or helping little learners build confidence, independence and friendships.

Expect plenty of stories, messy play, outdoor learning and those magical moments when a child's hard work finally clicks.

Pay

£92 - £105 per day (depending on experience and responsibilities)

What we're looking for

Experience working with children in EYFS, nursery, childcare or similar settings
A patient, nurturing and positive attitude
Confidence supporting learning through play and structured activities
Strong communication and teamwork skills
An understanding of children's individual needs, including SEND
A genuine passion for helping young children develop and succeed

What we need to clear you

Passport/proof of right to work in the UK
Two proofs of address (e.g. driving licence, utility bill or council tax statement)
An up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years of work or education, with any gaps explained
References covering the past two years
Overseas police check if you have lived abroad for three months or more within the last five years
