An Independent school in Haringey is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Economics Teacher for a permanent, full-time position commencing in September. The successful Economics Teacher will inspire students across Key Stages 4 and 5 with the principles of economics and the workings of the economy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging Economics Teacher lessons to students in Key Stages 4 and 5.


• Prepare students effectively for examinations in Economics, ensuring a solid grasp of key concepts and theories.


• Foster a stimulating learning environment that encourages critical thinking about economic issues.


• Assess and monitor student progress in economics, providing insightful and constructive feedback as an Economics Teacher.


• Contribute to the development of the economics curriculum and relevant teaching materials.


• Encourage an interest in finance and the global economy.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Economics.


• Demonstrated experience in teaching Economics at the secondary level, including Key Stage 5.


• A strong academic background in economics and a passion for the subject.


• Excellent communication and facilitation skills, capable of leading engaging discussions as an Economics Teacher.


• Ability to motivate students to think critically and independently about economic principles.


• A commitment to teamwork and a supportive approach to colleagues and students.
