Economics Teacher Sought for Outstanding Secondary School in Kingston

We are delighted to collaborate with an Ofsted-rated Outstanding secondary school in Kingston as they seek a dynamic and inspiring Economics Teacher to join their dedicated faculty. This full-time, permanent position offers a unique opportunity to shape young minds and foster a passion for economics in a high-achieving academic environment.

Position Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and rigorous Economics instruction to students across Key Stages 4 and 5. You will play an integral role in developing students' understanding of economic principles, theories, and their real-world applications, preparing them for further study and future success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement innovative lesson plans that align with the national curriculum and cater to a range of learning styles.


• Foster a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that promotes critical thinking, analysis, and debate.


• Assess student progress through a variety of methods, providing timely and constructive feedback to support their academic growth.


• Collaborate with colleagues within the Social Sciences department to enrich the curriculum and contribute to extracurricular activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Economics or a closely related field.


• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.


• Demonstrated experience teaching Economics at the secondary level.


• A strong grasp of economic concepts and their relevance to contemporary issues.


• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
