Economics Teacher - Tower Hamlets - September Start

Our client, a highly-regarded secondary school in the vibrant borough of Tower Hamlets, is actively seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Economics Teacher to join their dedicated team. This is a full-time, permanent position commencing in September, offering a competitive salary aligned with the MPS/UPS scale (M1 to UPS3).

The Role:

As an Economics Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in fostering students' understanding and appreciation of economics. Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and delivering engaging and stimulating lessons to KS3/4/5 students.


• Developing creative lesson plans in accordance with the national curriculum and school's educational philosophy.


• Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback to support their learning.


• Collaborating with colleagues to enrich the Economics department's offerings and maintain high academic standards.


• Staying current with pedagogical advancements and curriculum developments within the field of Economics.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A Bachelor's degree in Economics or a closely related discipline.


• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).


• A proven track record of successful teaching experience at the secondary level, ideally with expertise in delivering Economics to KS3/4/5 students.
