The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic History ECT to join a thriving secondary school and make a meaningful impact from the start of their teaching career. You will teach History across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons that bring the past to life. The Candidate
The school is seeking a dedicated and reflective History ECT who is eager to grow and contribute within a dynamic learning environment. You should have:
  • A degree in History or a closely related subject
  • QTS or be working towards achieving it by September 2025
  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching History
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • A collaborative attitude and commitment to professional development

ECT Induction

  • Assigned mentor: A dedicated and experienced teacher providing regular feedback, guidance, and one-on-one support.
  • Observation and feedback sessions: Structured classroom observations with detailed feedback from your mentor and school leadership.
  • Personalised development plan: Tailored support based on your strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Professional development opportunities: Access to workshops, seminars, and training sessions to enhance your teaching skills.
