Job Description - ECT Maths - Birmingham

Start Date: January 2026
Location: Birmingham, West Midlands

About the Role

A high-performing secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a motivated Maths ECT to join its successful department from January 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an Early Career Teacher to benefit from structured mentoring and a supportive working environment.

Key Responsibilities

Teach Mathematics across KS3 and KS4
Deliver engaging lessons that support progress for all learners
Use assessment to inform planning and intervention
Engage fully with the school’s ECT induction programme
Contribute to departmental planning and enrichment

About You

Maths graduate with QTS or pending QTS
Secure subject knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching
Willingness to learn and develop as an ECT
