A vibrant secondary school in Basildon is seeking a motivated and passionate ECT to join their science department from September 2025. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Inspire curiosity and critical thinking in the classroom.
  • Plan and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Participate in the school’s ECT induction and CPD programme.
  • Collaborate with experienced colleagues in lesson planning and resource sharing.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment.
  • Support whole-school activities and contribute to a positive school culture.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • QTS or expected QTS by September 2025 (essential).
  • A degree in a science-related subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Combined).
  • No classroom experience required—enthusiasm and commitment are key.
  • Strong communication and classroom presence.
  • A passion for inspiring students through practical and theoretical science.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student well-being.
  • Willingness to engage with extra-curricular activities and team initiatives.
