Are you a newly qualified Science Teacher ready to ignite curiosity and build a strong foundation for your teaching career? A forward-thinking secondary school in Upminster is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Early Career Teacher to join their science department from September 2025. This full-time, permanent role offers the perfect environment to grow, supported by experienced colleagues and a robust induction programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver well-structured science lessons across KS3 and KS4.

  • Collaborate with science colleagues to share ideas and resources.
  • Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Engage in the wider life of the school through enrichment activities and events.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • QTS or expected QTS by September 2025 (essential).
  • Degree in a science-related subject (e.g. Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Combined).
  • No prior teaching experience required.
  • A genuine passion for science and learning.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
  • Willingness to develop professionally and contribute to a collaborative team.
