EDM Operator Setter Programmer

We are hiring for a leading precision engineering company at the forefront of component manufacturing. Our innovative team is looking for a skilled EDM Programmer/Setter/Operator to contribute to high-quality production using state-of-the-art EDM and wire-EDM machinery.

Job Purpose:
You will be responsible for producing precision components from 3D CAD models and drawings using EDM and wire-EDM machines, as well as programming and electrode manufacture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set and operate EDM and wire-EDM machines

• Create accurate EDM programs for production

• Manufacture electrodes using 3-axis CNC milling machines

• Work to tight tolerances and conduct quality checks (visual and manual CMM)

• Interpret engineering drawings and follow production processes

• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workspace

• Support company policies and contribute to continuous improvement

Person Specification:

• Time-served engineer/toolmaker with proven EDM and wire-EDM experience

• Competent in programming and setting CNC machines

• Familiarity with Agie Charmilles machines desirable

• Experience with manual CMM and precision measuring tools desirable

• Able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings

• Flexible, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team

• Eligible to work in the UK
