This role will be a combination of working in person from the Cardiff office approximately 3 or more days per week, and working from home 1-2 days per week in addition to some occasional travel within the UK. This role is not available on a full remote-working arrangement.

About the role:
The Education Resourcing Manager is a centralised source with the responsibility for attracting Authors, Editors, Tutors and Programme Leaders to Learnas Diploma Msc Postgraduate and StudyPRN courses.
This role is also key to the inception, development, and delivery of new courses.
Working closely with the Director of Education, this is a collaborative, outward facing, networking and people-engagement role which links closely with our Editorial, Marketing and Teaching functions.
The role requires the proactive identification and building of effective relationships with potential Authors, Editors, Tutors and Programme Leaders using a wide range of social media platforms, as well as by networking, accessing medical bodies, headhunting, attending events, meeting with and developing relationships with educational institutions, researching through medical publications and other written media as well as through Programme Lead and/ or Tutor referrals.
The role is one of collaboration which requires close relationships and initiative across departments with all those involved in the course and programme development process.
Whilst the role is based at our Cardiff office, Learna is able to source medical experts from around the World. Subsequently, we require this role to identify various, forward thinking and creative ways to reach out to prospective medical professionals and enthuse them to become a part of our organisation where our success is built on exceptional programme delivery.
Some travel throughout the UK will be a requirement of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
To be fully cognisant of the operational objectives throughout Learnas Growth Plan in the proactive building of effective and relevant talent pools;
Ownership of the Tutor Database; to effectively manage its content, specialisms and availability of professionals to ensure maximum efficiency out of the use of the data it holds. This includes the allocation of medical specialists onto one or more modules/ courses etc or dual functionality in encouraging combined tutor/ editor and/ or author roles .
Engagement; Recruitment; Introduction
To be an effective and collaborative member of the Teaching Services team ensuring the most varied, efficient and effective recruitment links and methodologies are used to source tutors and their match to specific programmes;
To use headhunting techniques across a range of institutions, media and social linked channels to identify and professionally approach suitable prospective candidates;
To use a variety of social media platforms (eg: LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube etc) as well as the use of the NHS recruitment channels, medical publications, membership bodies, other medical job boards and local media etc in the advertisement for tutors; professionally attracting candidates and build effective relationships to generate and sustain interest;
Build confident professional relationships with all prospective and current Programme Leads and tutors to ensure effective and sustainable working relationships. This is also key in encouraging Programme Leads to refer their own contacts for potential tutors to deliver Learna programmes;
To effectively turn leads into sign-ups; ie: engaged tutors who progress onto Learnas induction programme and then onto tutoring Learna courses;
Through the use of social media platforms, build a professional reputation for Learna within the wider medical community;
To be the first point of contact in the briefing of prospective candidates about the responsibilities and fees associated with the specific role for which considerations are being made;
To undertake the screening of candidates, interview and undertake background verification checks prior to linking in with the next stage of the onboarding process.
Key Collaborations:
To identify, attend and network at relevant medical events and meetings; graduation ceremonies (Learna students), meet with and develop effective relationships with educational institutions, and maximise referrals etc.
To work with Learnas high-performing graduates with the prospect of becoming Learna tutors, authors and/ or editors;
Collaborate fully, effectively and purposefully with the Teaching Services team to ensure appropriate and relevant Programme Lead and tutor attraction and retention;
To link directly with the Editorial team in the planning and forecasting of recruitment channels for the new courses constantly being developed (approximately 7 new courses per year) in addition to working closely with Teaching Services in the tutor allocation for the twice annual cohorts in March and September of existing courses;
In collaboration with the marketing team, to design and advertise vacancies across a wide range of media, review applications, manage regular and ongoing contact and create shortlists for specific roles.
Requisite Skills:
Hybrid working arrangement of up to 4 days working in the Cardiff office and the remaining time working remotely
Ability to regularly travel; use of own vehicle and clean drivers license;
An open, creative and forward thinking approach;
Excellent communication, strong interpersonal skills with the ability to network;
Competency in a variety of social media software and digital tools;
Ability to identify, attract, attain and retain high quality medical talent;
Natural ability to build sustainable professional relationships;
Excellent organisational and multi-skilling abilities;
Strong attention to detail, ability to effectively prioritise and problem-solving skills;
Sound knowledge of current recruitment processes, particularly within the field of medicine and teaching.
