Are you an experienced Effluent Plant Operator looking for a new opportunity within a busy FMCG manufacturing company based in Derby? You will have previous experience operating an effluent/wastewater treatment plant within a manufacturing environment. As an Effluent Plant Operator, you will play a key part in ensuring the site's effluent treatment process operates safely, efficiently and within environmental regulations. This is a 4-month contract working Monday to Friday on days.

As an Effluent Plant Operator your role will involve:
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the site effluent treatment plant Monitor and control the treatment process to ensure it operates within required parameters Carry out routine checks, inspections, sampling and testing of the effluent plant Monitor chemical dosing and ensure chemicals are maintained at the required levels Identify, investigate and report any issues with the treatment process Carry out basic maintenance, cleaning and housekeeping of the effluent plant and associated equipment Respond to alarms, breakdowns and process issues in a timely manner Maintain accurate records of plant readings, sampling, chemical usage and maintenance activities Ensure the site remains compliant with environmental legislation and internal procedures Work closely with the Engineering, Production and Environmental teams to resolve issues and maintain efficient plant operation Ensure all health, safety, environmental and company procedures are followed at all times Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve the efficiency and reliability of the effluent treatment processHours of work: Monday to Friday - Days

Suitable Candidates:
Previous experience operating an effluent, wastewater or sewage treatment plant Experience working within an FMCG, food manufacturing or industrial environment Good understanding of effluent treatment processes and environmental requirements Comfortable carrying out routine testing, monitoring and sampling Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations Good problem-solving skills and a practical approach Flexible, team-oriented and able to work effectively within a busy manufacturing environment
