Language Services Direct is the UK's leading business language training consultancy. We deliver English and foreign language training to corporates and government agencies worldwide.
We are looking to grow our team of English language teachers for face to face assignments with a defence client. The particular focus on short intensive courses within the UK and occasionally overseas (especially the Middle East). These intensive courses last anywhere from 1 to 8 weeks, and are half or full time for this period (teaching and non-teaching academic duties from 0830-1230 and/or 1300-1700 Mon-Fri). Availability to deliver courses starting May 2024 preferred.
Applicants should have one of the following required qualifications:
Cambridge CELTA, Cambridge CELTA online, Trinity CertTESOL, BA TEFL, BA TESOL, Cambridge DELTA, Cambridge DELTA Online, Trinity DipTESOL, Masters MA TESOL, MA TEFL, Trinity CertPT, MA Linguistics, PhD Linguistics, Trinity Diploma in TESOL Education Studies, International diploma in Language Teaching Management (IDLTM), Trinity FTCL Diploma, Trinity Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (English ESOL)
Applicants with previous experience of delivering on the following projects are strongly encouraged to apply:

Qualifications
Candidates must be minimum CELTA qualified with a strong preference for candidates with DELTA or equivalent. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in teaching English as a Foreign Language to adults, and experience of materials preparation is a big plus. Ability and willingness to provide face to face lessons is a requirement; these courses are all face to face. Courses typically take place in Shrivenham but may be at other UK or international locations.
Candidates will be required to provide DBS certificate and meet security requirements. Full UK driving license is necessary for overseas courses.
Salary and Benefits
Competitive hourly/half day or daily rates paid, with travel and subsistence allowance for courses requiring travel/for non-local teachers. A full time intensive course (36 hours of contact time/prep/academic duties per week) will typically pay between £800-850 per week
