EHS Manager (Dual Site) Location: Keighley, West Yorkshire & Sedgefield, County Durham Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Contract: Full-time, Permanent Hours: Monday to Friday The Opportunity PFF Packaging is looking for an experienced EHS Manager to take ownership of Environment, Health & Safety across our two manufacturing sites in Keighley and Sedgefield. This is a highly autonomous role where you'll act as the company's EHS subject matter expert, shaping strategy, ensuring legal compliance and driving a strong culture of safety, environmental responsibility and continuous improvement. The Role You'll be site-based with regular travel between Keighley and Sedgefield, working closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, HR and senior leadership teams. What You'll Do • Lead the EHS strategy across both manufacturing sites. • Ensure compliance with UK health, safety and environmental legislation. • Manage risk assessments, audits, inspections, safe systems of work and corrective actions. • Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, driving effective root cause analysis. • Lead environmental compliance, waste management and pollution prevention initiatives. • Develop and deliver EHS training, inductions and toolbox talks. • Provide EHS performance reporting and advice to senior leadership. • Drive continuous improvement and embed EHS into operational decision-making. • Maintain readiness for customer, internal and regulatory audits. What You'll Bring • NEBOSH National Diploma or equivalent Level 6 qualification. • CMIOSH, or actively working towards Chartered Membership. • Proven EHS experience within manufacturing, FMCG or a similar operational environment. • Experience managing EHS across multiple sites. • Strong knowledge of UK H&S and environmental legislation. • Experience with risk assessments, incident investigation and root cause analysis. • Strong communication, coaching and influencing skills. • Ability to work autonomously and build effective relationships at all levels. Desirable: NEBOSH Environmental Certificate, IEMA, ISO 45001/14001 Lead Auditor, EMS experience and formal accident investigation training.
