Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical / ICA Commissioning Engineer to join a skilled project team delivering a range of clean and wastewater projects.

You will plan, manage and deliver installation and commissioning activities, working closely with project, construction and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop commissioning plans, procedures and documentation.

* Lead and supervise onsite installation and commissioning activities.

* Coordinate works, outages and commissioning with site and operations teams.

* Commission and troubleshoot PLCs, control panels, instrumentation and communication systems.

* Work with contractors on fault finding, configuration and testing.

* Review electrical, instrumentation and control drawings and specifications.

* Lead commissioning meetings and coordinate site activities.

* Support projects through installation, commissioning and final handover.

About You

* Previous experience within the water industry.

* Strong electrical, instrumentation and ICA experience.

* Proven commissioning and fault-finding experience.

* Experience with PLCs, control panels and communication systems.

* Able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

* Willing to travel to project sites, including occasional overnight stays.

* Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

* SMSTS / SSSTS and CSCS Supervisor Card.

* HNC or higher in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation or a related discipline.
