Electrical Assembler / Electrical Fitter

Our client is a well-established and successful manufacturer, they are looking for a skilled Electrical Assembler / Electrical Assembly Operative / Electrical Fitter to electrically assemble and wire up their manufactured machinery to a high quality standard.

Salary: £18.04 per hour + Overtime at x1.5

Hours of work: 40 hours a week, 8.00am - 4.00pm, Monday to Friday

PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

* At least 3 years’ experience as an Electrical Fitter / Electrical Engineer / Electrician, preferably in an Engineering background

* Advanced NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant Engineering subject, or Apprentice trained

* Bespoke Machine / Special Purpose Machinery building experience will be favoured, however other industries building bespoke capital equipment will also be considered

* Computer skills in Excel and Word

Responsibilities:

* The electrical assembly and wire control of panel back plates

* Mount electrical field wiring components and cable management

* Read and interpret electrical wiring and schematic diagrams, bills of material and specifications

* Perform Earth, Rotation, I/O checks on control panel & machine wiring/ fault finding prior to handover to Controls Engineer

* Confirm quality checks have been completed

* Assist with the electrical maintenance of the site, offering guidance and support to electrical contractors when required

* Providing training, guidance, and support to apprentices and other members of the assembly team to increase their skills and knowledge base

* Support the integration of new product lines being adopted

This job would suit someone with previous experience in a similar role, such as Electrical Engineer / Electrical Technician / Panel Wirer / Electrician / Machine Builder / Electrical Assembly Operator / Electrical Assembler
