Systems & Compliance Coordinator

Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum

A leading building services and electrical contractor is looking to appoint a Systems & Compliance Coordinator to join its Newcastle-based team.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced electrical professional looking to develop their career away from purely site-based work and into compliance, auditing, quality and technical assurance.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
* Maintaining compliance registers, procedures, records and documentation.
* Supporting internal, external, client and NICEIC audits.
* Preparing audit documentation and tracking corrective actions.
* Assisting with electrical compliance reviews and site inspections.
* Maintaining certification, training, competence and inspection records.
* Supporting project mobilisation and ensuring compliance documentation is in place.
* Identifying recurring compliance issues and supporting improvements.
* Assisting with apprentice development and training coordination.
* Providing guidance within your level of competence and escalating technical or statutory matters where required.
About You
The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical background and an interest in developing into a broader compliance and technical role.
You will ideally have:
* NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent.
* AM2 or equivalent occupational competence.
* Current 18th Edition / BS 7671 qualification.
* ECS Gold Card.
* Recent electrical experience within building services, electrical contracting or construction.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Good attention to detail and experience with accurate documentation.
* Good Microsoft Office skills.
* Full UK driving licence.
Experience with ISO management systems, auditing, NICEIC, inspection & testing or compliance would be advantageous, although training will be provided.
Development & Progression
The successful candidate will receive structured training and development across areas including ISO auditing, NICEIC processes, inspection & testing, incident investigation and compliance.
As your experience develops, you will take increasing ownership of audits, compliance reporting, project reviews and corrective actions, with the longer-term opportunity to progress into a Systems & Compliance Manager role.
The position is based in Newcastle, with regular travel to project sites, regional offices, external assessments and training providers across the UK North region
