Electrical Quality Supervisor and Small Works Job Description Job Summary The Electrical Qualifying Supervisor (QS) will oversee all aspects of electrical compliance and quality assurance within the company, acting as the NICEIC Approved QS. In addition to ensuring installations meet current wiring regulations and standards, this role includes the pricing, management, and delivery of small electrical works and installations, maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency throughout. Key Responsibilities 1. NICEIC Compliance & Quality Control * Serve as the company’s NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor, ensuring ongoing compliance with NICEIC accreditation and current regulations (BS7671, Part P, and Health & Safety at Work Act). * Oversee the certification of all electrical works, including EIC, EICR, and Minor Works certificates. * Conduct regular quality and compliance audits on completed installations. * Liaise directly with NICEIC assessors during audits and ensure any corrective actions are addressed promptly. * Maintain company test equipment records, calibration logs, and certification registers. 2. Electrical Testing, Inspection & Certification * Carry out testing, inspection, and fault-finding on new and existing electrical installations. * Produce accurate documentation and certification for all works completed. * Support electricians in ensuring testing procedures and documentation are consistent and compliant. * Ensure all installations meet required technical and safety standards. 3. Small Works Pricing & Installation * Survey, estimate, and prepare quotations for small-scale electrical works, maintenance, and remedial projects. * Plan, schedule, and manage the installation of small works — from design through to completion. * Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of projects within budget. * Provide hands-on support with small installations and remedial tasks when required. * Track project costs, variations, and profitability for all small works activities. * Ensure all works are completed to company and NICEIC quality standards. 4. Technical Leadership & Team Support * Provide day-to-day technical supervision and mentoring for electricians and apprentices. * Review and sign off test sheets and certification documents before issue. * Offer guidance on technical queries, design solutions, and best practices. * Contribute to staff development through training and competency checks. 5. Health, Safety & Compliance * Ensure all electrical works are carried out in line with company RAMS, method statements, and health & safety regulations. * Promote safe working practices across all electrical activities. * Maintain accurate site documentation, drawings, and as-built records. * Support continuous improvement initiatives within the electrical department Only candidates based in UK and eligible to work in UK are allowed
