Electrical Project / Contracts Manager

Location: Seaham, County Durham / Nationwide Travel
Salary: £60,000 - 65,000 per annum + package
Job Type: Permanent

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Project or Contracts Manager to join an established electrical contractor based in County Durham.

The company has been established for over 40 years and delivers electrical installation projects across the retail, commercial and industrial sectors, including both new-build and refurbishment projects. Projects typically range from £10,000 to £400,000, working with a range of established clients across the UK.

The role

As a Electrical Project / Contracts Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management and successful delivery of multiple electrical projects across the UK.

Your responsibilities will include:

Managing multiple projects from commencement through to completion

*

Attending client and site meetings

*

Managing site issues and ensuring projects are delivered on time and to a high standard

*

Maintaining strong relationships with existing clients

*

Monitoring project costs and ensuring work is delivered within budget

*

Preparing and negotiating variations and final accounts

*

Coordinating with the estimating team and reviewing project estimates

*

Planning labour, materials and resources across multiple projects

*

Liaising with clients, site teams and subcontractors

*

Supporting existing client relationships and identifying opportunities for new work

*

Ensuring projects are delivered within agreed timescales and financial constraints

About you:

A recognised electrical qualification / time-served electrician background

*

Strong electrical knowledge and technical understanding

*

Previous experience in electrical project or contracts management

*

Experience working within retail, commercial or industrial environments

*

Good commercial and financial awareness

*

Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously

*

Strong communication and client management skills

*

Good IT skills

*

The ability to manage deadlines and work effectively under pressure

*

A flexible approach to working hours and travel

*

The willingness to travel nationwide as required

This is a hands-on management position suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership of projects, working closely with clients and site teams, and playing a key role in the continued growth of the business
