Electrical Design Engineer

They have high staff retention rates, clear routes ofprogression for staff, regular salary reviews and flexible working options.They are seeking a Electrical Design Engineer (Building Services) to join theirEdinburgh office. You must have experience working in the UK/Ireland deliveringelectrical design on building services projects.

Your new role
As an ElectricalEngineer you will play a vital role ensuring sustainability, efficiency andsafety of electrical systems across various building types. You will beresponsible for contributing to electrical design across a range of ourclient's projects, working closely with the electrical team. Your duties willcover design and delivery of electrical design deliverables including drawings,specifications and schedules.

Your keyresponsibilities will be:

• Working in a multidisciplinary environment to design buildings that maximise value while minimising environmental impact
• Production of detailed design calculations for all aspects of electrical design.
• Production of specifications.
• Production of design notes and reports
• Production of design drawings from conception through to detailed design.
• Play an active role in every stage of our client's projects from feasibility to completion across multiple sectors including commercial, residential, education, energy, sport, health, and mixed-use developments.

What you'll need to succeed

• Master's degree in electrical engineering or other relevant subject.
• Working towards Chartered status with CIBSE or IET.
• Proficient with Trimble/Amtech, Dialux, and/or other electrical design software
• Familiar with BIM processes using Revit, Revitzo or other recognized industry platforms.
• Experience in designing HV. LV. Lighting and lighting controls, Fire Alarms, Security/Access Control, electrical design for renewable energy systems and earthing across a range of projects.
