Job Description - Electrical Design Engineer

Electrical Design Engineer
Location: Stroud
Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 (Depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:00

What You’ll Be Doing:

Producing accurate technical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
Designing electrical and pneumatic systems for specialist vehicles and equipment
Supporting the development of both new products and enhancements to existing designs
Liaising across departments, including production, sales, and purchasing
Participating in testing and quality assurance of systems
Leading and supporting a small team of electricians
Working with or learning PLC programming (training provided)

About You:

Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronic Engineering
Experience in electrical or mechanical design (graduate and junior engineers also considered)
Proficient with 3D AutoCAD or SolidWorks
Knowledge of PLCs or electronics is desirable, though not essential
A collaborative mindset with the ability to take initiative and solve problems
