An experienced Electrical Design Engineer is required to take ownership of electrical and control system design across complex industrial projects from concept through to commissioning. This is a varied, technically challenging role offering full project lifecycle exposure within a growing engineering business delivering international projects.

Description
Key responsibilities:
Lead electrical design activities across multiple concurrent engineering projects Produce electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical Design industrial control systems, MCCs, and power distribution solutions Specify electrical components, instrumentation, and control devices Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) Ensure compliance with IEC, ATEX, UL, and relevant industry standards Support manufacturing, F.A.T testing, and commissioning activities Produce technical documentation including O&M manuals Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards and processesProfile
The successful candidate
HNC/HND or Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering (or similar) Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in electrical design within industrial, process, or automation environments Strong experience using AutoCAD Electrical (or similar CAD package) Good knowledge of control panels, MCCs, and power distribution systems Understanding of industrial standards and hazardous area environments (ATEX/IECEx beneficial) Practical awareness of commissioning and installation activities Strong problem-solving ability and communication skills Able to work both independently and within multi-disciplinary engineering teamsJob Offer
