Certain Advantage is hiring for an Electrical Design Engineer based in the Southwest area.
This role is on a permanent basis and is site-based.

The Role:
This role is for an Electrical Design Engineer—someone ambitious and ready to make an impact. You’ll be results-oriented and driven to succeed.
You’ll be leading a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for:

Development and delivery of electrical design packages from concept through to detailed design.
Producing engineering calculations, drawings, specifications and technical substantiation to support new installations, system modifications and infrastructure projects.The Individual
We’re looking for people who can show:

Degree or HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline.
Electrical design packages within a highly regulated industry.
Strong understanding of LV and HV power distribution systems.
Electrical calculations, technical specifications and design substantiation.
Knowledge of electrical design standards and industry codes of practice.
Knowledge of BS 7671, IEC standards and relevant industry regulations.
Experience using CAD and electrical design software.Desirable Attributes:

Experience working in defence, nuclear, energy, infrastructure or industrial sectors.
Familiarity with ETAP, Amtech, Trimble, AutoCAD Electrical or similar design tools.
Experience supporting design reviews, hazard assessments and safety case documentation.
Strong communication, stakeholder management and technical report-writing skills.The Benefits:
