Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer

Location: Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent

Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 - plus benefits

Role Overview

Our client is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing team, working on a range of commercial design and build projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team, with opportunities for professional development, hybrid working and involvement in exciting projects.

Key Responsibilities

Produce electrical designs and calculations for LTA packs across a range of commercial design and build projects.

Complete Designer’s Risk Assessments to ensure compliance with relevant safety requirements.

Prepare load analysis sheets, cable calculations, schematics and associated technical documentation.

Develop electrical designs using AutoCAD, with supporting tools such as Amtech, Dialux and Relux.

Support Project Managers with as-built drawings, site surveys, design validations and project documentation.

Key Skills & Experience

Previous experience in electrical design within the commercial design and build sector.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience producing electrical calculations and technical documentation.

Knowledge of electrical design software such as Amtech, Dialux or Relux.

Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.

Confident communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues and build positive client relationships.

Desirable Experience

Working knowledge of Revit.

Experience attending client meetings and developing professional relationships
