Electrical design engineer

Electrical Design Estimator (11/33kv) You will play a key role in supporting electrical design projects by analysing plans, estimating costs, and ensuring project compliance.

This role requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.

Responsibilities: Analyse project documents to estimate costs and identify client needs.

Conduct research and liaise with relevant parties to understand project requirements.

Research and obtain competitive quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.

Develop electrical design estimates that meet project goals and client needs.

Create clear and concise project scopes for client understanding.

Participate in design review meetings.

Ensure designs meet client requirements, timelines, and budgets.

Conduct technical audits of electrical designs.

Maintain knowledge of relevant regulations and ensure design compliance.

Provide technical support to colleagues.

Manage project design changes and cost variations.

Prepare reports on project progress.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Valid driver's license.

Working knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards.

Experience in electrical design (utilities or similar context preferred).

Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., Auto CAD, Micro Station).
