Electrical Design Engineer – Building Services

Salary: Up to £50,000 + Benefits
Location: Telford (Remote Working Available)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a growing Building Services consultancy based in Telford.

This role is predominantly remote, offering excellent flexibility and work-life balance. The successful candidate will typically be expected in the office once per week, although this can be flexible depending on individual circumstances and project requirements.

We are looking for someone with a strong Building Services background who is confident producing electrical designs across a range of commercial and industrial projects.

The Role

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:

* Producing electrical building services designs and calculations

* Designing lighting, power, fire alarm and emergency lighting systems

* Preparing technical drawings and specifications

* Working closely with clients, project teams and other design disciplines

* Attending design meetings and site visits when required

* Supporting projects from concept through to completion

* Ensuring designs comply with current regulations and industry standards

Requirements

* Previous experience within Building Services Electrical Design

* Good understanding of electrical building systems and regulations

* Experience using industry-standard design software

* Ability to work independently and manage your own workload

* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
