Job Description - Electrical Engineer

Job Title: Electrician
Location: High Wycombe
Salary: £35,000 – £38,000 per annum

We are seeking a skilled and qualified Electrician to join one of our clients, working on a variety of electrical installation and maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will be experienced, self-motivated, and capable of delivering high-quality work both independently and as part of a team. You will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems, with occasional travel to project sites as required.

Key Responsibilities

Perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance in accordance with industry standards and regulations
Conduct inspection and testing of electrical systems and complete associated documentation
Work with lightning protection systems
Interpret and work from technical drawings and electrical plans
Diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently and safely
Maintain high standards of health and safety and adhere to company procedures
Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and management
Travel to project sites as required (with some overnight stays possible)

Qualifications Required

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification (BS 7671)
Inspection and Testing qualification (e.g., City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent)

Skills and Experience

Proven experience with lightning protection systems
Proficient in installation, maintenance, and repair of various electrical systems
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Capable of working independently and collaboratively
Excellent time management and organisational skills

Additional Requirements

Full UK driving licence
Right to work in the UK
Willingness to travel as part of the role
