We're looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer β‘ to join a leading Facilities Management company supporting a major manufacturing site in Long Sutton. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced FMCG production environment π, ensuring critical electrical systems and plant equipment are maintained to the highest standards.
Working as part of a multi-skilled engineering team π·ββοΈπ·ββοΈ, you will play a key role in maximising plant uptime, reducing downtime, and supporting continuous production operations.
π§ What you'll be doing:
βοΈ Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across electrical systems and building services equipment β‘π§
βοΈ Diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults to minimise disruption to production π οΈ
βοΈ Responding quickly to breakdowns and implementing effective corrective actions π¨
βοΈ Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and plant performance π
βοΈ Working closely with the wider engineering team to maximise equipment availability π·ββοΈπ€π·ββοΈ
βοΈ Maintaining safe systems of work and ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety procedures π¦Ί
βοΈ Keeping accurate maintenance records and completing documentation as required π»
βοΈ Liaising effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure service excellence π€
βοΈ Supporting the smooth operation of a busy manufacturing facility π
π· What we're looking for:
β Essential:
β‘ Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer within Facilities Management, manufacturing, industrial, or production environments
β‘ Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills π§
β‘ Good understanding of electrical systems, controls, and maintenance practices
β‘ Experience delivering both planned and reactive maintenance activities π
β‘ Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-skilled engineering team π·
β‘ Strong commitment to Health & Safety and statutory compliance π¦Ί
β‘ Excellent communication and problem-solving skills π€
β Desirable:
π Experience within FMCG, food production, or manufacturing environments
π Involvement in continuous improvement initiatives
π§ Multi-skilled maintenance experience
π City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, or equivalent electrical qualifications
