Full job description

We are seeking a Process Electrical Estimator to support project delivery and business growth through the preparation of accurate, detailed, and competitive cost estimates. Operating within process-driven environments such as manufacturing plants and utilities, you will play a pivotal role in assessing project requirements, identifying risks, and developing commercially sound tenders for electrical installation works.

Key Responsibilities

* Analyse and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, specifications, and tender documentation relevant to process industry projects

* Develop detailed cost estimates covering power distribution, control systems, instrumentation, and cabling installations

* Liaise with suppliers and specialist subcontractors to obtain accurate and competitive pricing for materials and industrial equipment

* Compile and submit comprehensive tender packages in line with client specifications and project requirements

* Work closely with project engineers, designers, and project managers to define scope and resolve technical queries

Skills and Experience

* Proven experience in estimating within the process, manufacturing, or wider industrial sectors

* Solid understanding of electrical installations in process environments, including MCCs, control panels, hazardous area systems, and containment solutions

* Good working knowledge of relevant electrical standards and regulations such as BS7671 and ATEX

* Experience using estimating software packages (e.g. Trimble/Amtech, ConQuest, or similar tools)

* Ability to interpret and work from complex technical drawings, specifications, and documentation

* Strong commercial awareness, with well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
